Any recommendations of a place to stay in Paris?

My husband and I are going on vacation for a couple of weeks to Paris but have no idea where to stay. Any suggestions from experience?

The Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris is supposed to be very nice, expensive but nice, rooms around $1300 per night.
