  1. I would reccomend a few. One is Swan Hellenic. They have one boat, it is relatively large, and they are very nice. The other is Holland American. They offer good Scandinavian cruises, and are a wonderful Elegant cruise line. They are very mainstraem so they offer alot of oppurtunities.

  2. I did the baltic a few seasons working on ships. The thing is, several destinations are better to do it yourself, in my opinion.

I did all the tours everywhere at one point, but my last season tours only in Russia. I didnt like St. Petersburg at all, so the tours are better cause you go to the historic places and thats it, dont have to deal with the thieves, the bad mood of the taxis, the rudeness of most every one. I would do the Hermitage with gold room (generaly they have the tour with gold room or without), Catharinas palace and there was one tour that was a canal boat that just sailed the canals in the evening, vodka and caviar included.

Amsterdam the city is just a 20 minute walk from the port, very safe and nice to walk about, everybody speaks english.

Kopenhagen is my favorite of them all, if you walk to the left leaving the ship there´s "the little mermaid" and some amazing parks, after that there´s a section of the city with loads of design shops quite cool to browse around.

At some distance(I took a taxi, but some people walked, was like 2 hours) you reach the center, where Tivoli Gardens are. Nice food, shopping etc. Everybody speaks english as well.

Helsinki is boring, so if there´s any excursion if you feel atracted to, do it.

Tanini? Is that Tallin, Estonia? If so dont take the tour. 20minutes walking, leaving the port to the right it´s the old city, its amazing! Old medieval city, lots of cafes, sundays there´s a handcraft fair, peak of summer there´s a festival of some tradicional stuff with clothes and stuff.

Not everybody speaks english, but they are friendly and try to understant you.

    Thats it? only those cities?

We usualy did more, like Warnemunde, Stockholm, Gottenburg, Visby (amazing island in Sweden, dates back to 7000BC) and others.

Anyway enjoy your trip, in 10 years on ships i did pretty much everywhere and the Baltic is my favorite destination.

What Celebrity ship are you going? Mercury?

  3. This is an excellent site with some wonderful options for you.
