Any recommendations on what to do in Paris with kids/tweens?

After you have seen all the usual, ie, Lourve, Eiffel Tower, etc. take a visit to the Paris Sewer Museum. No Joke. The Parisians are very proud of their sewer system. The museum is actually in the sewer. It has historical artifacts, documents, theory of operation, all laid out like a real museum. Only, it's a little humid and slightly stinky. PS - If this doesn't meet your fancy, then Disneyland Paris would be a next best choice.

You may have a look to "Cité des sciences" a really nice museum for kids. And it's in a nice park, so you can have a full day for them.
