Any regulars on forums?

is it pretty normal to try to run out the newcomers to the board by not engaging in conversation with them or challenging every little comment they make?

No, most forums strive to get as many members as they can and don't try to scare out people.

I wouldn't say so.

When I first registered on a forum I was a new comer and I wasn't treated this way. I was also about 11 years old and very immature. I don't treat others this way, try and make them fit in. They'll soon grow more mature towards the communities.

I think it's a little stub-urn to do so. I mean, it's like no letting anyone join other than the current users. There's no point to it.
