  1. Saline drops see below

  2. Since most cold meds were taken off the shelves, I have called my doc for advice and gotten either free samples or dosing info for children's meds.   You may try that.

  3. Use a humidifier or take them in the bathroom while the shower is running for the steam. If they have a fever and are extremely irritable, then I would go ahead and give them some Tylenol. Plenty of fluids and rest. No cold medicines, the AAP doesn't recommend them anymore for children under 6 years of age.

  4. Boiron makes these homepathic pellets for all sorts of ailments.  They're drug-free.  You can find them at healthfood stores and places like vitamin shoppe.  I use them for myself and my kids all the time be it for fever, runny nose, teething, bug bite, allergy, insect bite, etc etc etc

  5. tylenol, vitamin c and plenty of rest

  6. Sleep, rest, popsicles, too much TV, lots of juice, and if they're congested, put a humidifier in their rooms.

Don't do the American thing...jump for a medication at the first sign of illness.  Kids get colds...that's what they do...ride it out and let their bodies heal themselves, and they'll be stronger for it.
