  1. I can't think of any that are "free", most charities that sell furniture is reasonably priced though.  Try craigslist or freecycle.

  2. i would check your local salvation army. I your anywhere near corona California, i would gladly help you out with a nice couch and a dinning table. i just bought some new furniture and my old furniture is sitting in my garage. Ive been trying to find someone in need  of this furniture. looking for a person who has kids and are in a tuff situation.

  3. If you live near a large college you can usually find an assortment of old couches and chairs at the end of the year.

  4. http://www.freecycle.org/

type in your state and the nearest city

    Now it's working, good luck

everything on this site is free

just remember to return the favor when you have items you no longer need

    you can also try

    http://www.sharingisgiving.com

find the group nearest you, when the moderator ask why you would like to join, you could say something like. I'm cleaning out my garage and have things to give away, it'll get yeah started

  5. Craigslist.org under free for your local area

Also try Freecycle, or place an ad in your local newspaper or pennysaver.

Ask friends and family to spread the word, many times a friend of a friend want to get rid of something.

If you live in a big city, keep an eye on the curb. Lots of free items can be had. A friend that moved out for college found a love seat, book shelf, and a coffee table. All were in good-great condition, and free.

  6. join your yahoo groups freecycle group for your area. there are always tons of ppl giving away furniture and tons of household things.

    craigslist is another option

i use my freecycle all the time to get rid of things.

i got a punch bowl set (unopened) for my rehersal dinner and wedding, a car seat for my fiances daughter for when she stays with us- i got rid of a ton of paint and bar stools and many more things.
