  1. It is people like you that take away from the credibility of real  'ghost hunters'. People can usually tell if a photo is fake, and you trying to pass off a fake just makes you look bad. It is VERY easy to photograph 'real' phenomena. If you used half the energy you spent on trying to learn how to fake a photograph or video (even harder), you could easily get real footage. Besides, there is free software available on the net that will allow one to verify a 'fake' photo or film. If you wanted... take a simple DIGITAL camera, and take as many pics as your camera can hold...    when you look at them after (like on your computer) all enlarged, you will see what I am talking about. The easiest phenomena to catch on film is Orbs. They are round 'balls' that usually show up in one photo, and rarely in the next  (if you take the pic in the exact same spot)  It is a good idea to take 2 of the same photos at the same time- it helps prove that it isn't an artificial light or something like that. So why don't you focus your energy on capturing real phenomena, and save the fakes for all the people that still don't believe in what they cannot see. You believe in wind don't you? You believe in a higher power don't you? You can smell a f**t can't you? None of these things can be seen or held- and yet you still know they exist! There are plenty of people that swear that there is no such thing- Yet, when provided with hard evidence- all they can say is "thats not a Ghost". Well, if it is NOT a ghost... tell me what it really is, and we move on to the next photo or film or recording. I am a Professional Paranormal Invesigator, and I will be the first to say that not all 'phenomena' is paranormal. Often dust or lense flare causes orbs, often the banging and clanging is really just rats or other rodents, and the cold spots are simply air drafts coming in through doors, closets, or other places like that. I spent most of my time trying to find and document Paranormal, yet often I can prove that it isn't. I believe in the paranormal because of my experiences, NOT because of stories I have heard- and to be honest with you- alot of the garbage you see on the net is just that- garbage. Fakes. Even most of the haunting shows you see (with the exception of T.A.P.S.) are phoney. TV drama. Those Psychics that have all of that nonsence going on all around them yet no one could actually get the camera on it- FAKE. Now TAPS on the other hand, has actually documented real footage. I assure you that you do not need to go to some well known fancy haunted castle in Ireland- you can look locally. A friends parents' old house, or an abandoned structure will provide an excellent start to your adventure! I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH TO KEEP OFF PRIVATE PROPERTY- YOU COULD GET HURT OR KILLED.  Many states will allow trespassers to be shot. Go into your backyard and run off about 30 to 50 pics- keep the good ones- delete the rest. You will be surprised at what you see!

  2. Wow, someone who has an interest in real ghost-hunting, lol.

As a photographer, I think about this stuff all the time.

Here are some tips. Orbs and vortexs are mostly accidental and come from cheap point and shoot cameras (which is why ghost hunters dont invest in good slr cameras).

Close ups of a spiderweb will give you a string of orbs.

using an slr camera on a tripod at twillight, hold the exposure a few seconds while a friend jiggles around in place. You might have to experiment, but your friend will look like a shadow man and it will look like daytime.

I use Macromedia Fireworks, but Photoshop is about as good. You can superinpose images and make them invisible.

Take a picture of someone with a solid background.

Most ghost hunters and believers will believe just about anything you show them and conclude its a ghost. You really cant s***w up when it comes to fake ghost pictures.

Remember the case of the Cottingly children in 1917 who took pictures of paper cut outs of fairies from a popular childrens book and Sir Conan Auther Doyle announced that the pictures were authentic.

  3. Photoshop and experiment.

  4. As others have told you, Photoshop works well.  To get orbs just shake an old rug and take a picture with a  flash and the light will reflect off of the dust.

Might I suggest that you NOT create fake ghost photos?  I have seen some of the so called "better" fakes and they are fairly obvious as such.  Decent, hardworking investigators don't want to waste their time looking at fraudulent photos, and the rest of the internet community seems to believe that people actually believe these photos to be real.  It gives paranormal investigators a bad name.

  5. Now why would you want to put a lot of time, money, and effort into something that will shoot your credibility into the toilet? People are able to detect fakes when they can in-large images 1,000 times with their computers.

  6. Think of the ghost effects in Disney's The Haunted Mansion. Reflections in glass, work with it.UFOs are especially easy Some plastic wrap Balsa wood and small candles for heat make a great visitor from space.evp's just do anything you want and say you recorded it in a graveyard. They'll eat it up.Some people want to believe so badly .They will believe anything.Edwards and Brown and their like have gotten rich fooling gullible people. The fools line up and say thank you,as they hand over the cash.Good Luck, you won't be the first or last to take these suckers for a ride. They practically beg for it.

  7. Go to google and type in fake ghost photos.
