I am going to take my family out to dinner (in San Antonio, TX) and I was looking up places that we could go so that we could both be happy. There is only one veggie restaurant here (which is far from the part of town we will be in), so I was hoping to go to a chain restaurant, many have veggie burgers and a a few other things suitable for me but I was wondering if there was any place anyone knows of that has a vegan dessert? Such as Johnny Rockets, P F Changs, Hard Rock Cafe, Ramonos Macroni Grill, Chili's, Denny's, etc? Anything?

  1. I am looking up restaurants right now so I might edit and update this. However...I never found any where I lived (there were only chain restaurants- no vegetarian ones). Edit: Boston Market's apple cobbler is vegan, Arby's apple or cherry turnover is vegan, some items at St. Louis Bread Company aka Panera are vegan (but not their gooey yummy cinnamon rolls /sad), "Dairy Queen offers a vegan "ice cream" bar called Star Kiss. Dairy Queen also has vegan slushes in cherry, grape, blue raspberry, lemon lime, watermelon, and kiwi strawberry flavors. The selection varies by location", The fresh fruit and applesauce at Denny's is vegan, "P.F. Chang’s is one of the most vegan-friendly restaurant chains around. Its vegetarian menu is terrific, and everything can be made vegan, from appetizers such as Tofu Lettuce Wraps to entrées like Orange Peel Tofu.

"- not sure if this includes any desserts on their menu?,

ok that's all I could find my friend

However, after dinner the family would like to go to Cold Stone for ice cream. I would get the non-dairy sorbet (they also offer this in some smoothies with soymilk) but I would have them make it (even if it is a little more trouble than reg. ice cream hehe) with toppings that I wanted like peanut butter or strawberries. It's a fun way to get dessert where everyone can eat if you can't find anything. Hope this helps!!!

  2. Most omni places don't have vegan dessert options, I'm afraid.  At least that has been my experience.  And it's especially true of chains.

  3. Bring along a banana and eat it when it's time for dessert.

  4. go to allveggielinks.com they can help you out with all sorts of vegan websites trust me its awesome

  5. I wish!! Sorry, I can't find any either!!! I have to make all my vegan desserts!
