reason being BT charging #4.50 for those of us paying by cash, cheque, debit card, and not by direct debit the way they demand. She rightly suggests this is grossly unfair to the majority.

  1. unfortunately she lost her case

  2. she lost what a pity

  3. Has she really lost?  I heard it was still going on.  Brilliant woman, good luck to her.

Edit:  Hope she takes it to a higher Court.

  4. non as yet but i think this lady should be supported by the wider community.she's fighting for US aswell.three cheers..hip .hip .

  5. Yes this is unfair..... A few years ago the Government put a stop to this -- or --  so we were told..... I run a small business and love it when I am paid in cash , if I get paid by credit  / debit card I get charged by the bank...

I hate the way that big Companies charge for cash...

You will find that when you pay by cash it involves a third person to count and proses the money..... So I can sort of see their argument for charging extra (even though I don't agree with it)

But being charged for paying / accepting debit / credit cards really sucks as there is no middle man to proses the transaction as it is all done by a computer.

  6. She has lost the case.
