so...normally, i have nothing bu vowels...suddenly..it's q, u, x, y, z and 2 a's.....and i am stumped....brain freeze...need a word...help!

Try: quay (qua is good too, but the "y" gives you extra points); if you pick up the "s", try sax, say, or suq.

Good luck. I'd have better advice if I were there, and could see the board layout...

there's always the old stand-by "aqua". I know how infantile it seems to lay down 4-letter words, but if it occurs upon a 3X word score, you cash in big time!!
