Any seashell craft suggestions?

i just came back from jamaica and collected a bunch of seashells. im planning to give my best friends gifts made from the shells, but im not quite sure what to make. any ideas or good websites

Make magnets out of them ... you can buy small magnets at the craft stores and glue them to the back of the shells.  Quick and cute!

You can always do the classic picture frame of Seashells on it. For extra put a picture of you guys in there. If you have the right kind of tool you can poke little holes and make a necklace with them.

I would get a decorative candle and arrange the sea shells down at the bottom or make a wreath with other cool sea like stuff on it. Have fun!

depending on their size, you can make a variety of stuff.

* you can just paint something over large shells - name/scene/memory & gift as a stand-alone show piece.

* make book ends.

* glue them around a photo-frame, vase, clock, lamp shade, flower pot, etc, artistically.

* use them on table napkin rings , or on place cards

* to make greeting cards

* glue them on hair pins, hair bands, bracelets

* carefully pierce a hole in a nice shell & insert it as a lucky charm in your friendship bracelet

* pierced shells carefully & make bracelets, necklaces, on a ring, anklets, key chains,
