Does anyone know any seaside resorts in the UK, not that hard to travel to (I mean not that time consuming, 4 hours) that will be fun for everyone?

Yeh ... completely depends on where you live but Bournemouth beaches are good and also the beaches along the Cornish coast.

devon has torquay and plymouth

cornwall has newquay / par

north devon -- bude

well your only evr really and hour or two from the coast no matter where you are were only an island so never far from sea it really depends on where you live where decent seasides are, cleetorpes in linconshire, whitby in north yorkshire where dracula originated (bram stoker) these are nice, bewick upon tweed near boarders
