I am s'posed to do a project -

Develop an illustrative study of peacekeeping operations by United Nations Organization

I want to know what UN did to prevent this i.e SUCCESS or FAILURE

Any sites regarding Meena Gujjar violence in Rajasthan, India and human rights violation then will also be helpful.

Thanks!

  1. try google or un.org.. of course u will find something

  2. About that particular city, you are not going to find much linking it exactly to a specific UN action or treaty.  It would be inherent in a more broad based relation dealing with peacekeeping operations in India.  Also, asking a broad question of whether or not the UN has been successful is completely up to a persons opinion.  There have been both individual cases of success and failure by the UN.  Examples of success would be South Africa, East Timor, possibly China.  Examples of failures would be Ethiopia/Eritrea, Somalia, Yugoslavia (except NATO), Rwanda, Israel/Palistine.  Check out the UN website for more information, they have way too much to put on Yahoo Answers boards.
