For the last week to maybe two weeks i've been having weird outbreaks. Im fine during the day (80% of the time) and when i come home, after about 2-3hrs i start itching like mad. i just run my nails up the itch and i get big welts on my skin and if yourun your hand over the area it feels like a poison ivy rash. and it can get VERY extreme, its mostly a night thing i notice. i've done everything from removing everything new i may have bought. throughly washed all bedding, and the weirdest part about all this is that in the morning, its all gone, the welts, rash ...everything! and im fine till later in the day. so it seems to be localized to evening. the itching is so intense i can't stop itching at all...i get very swollen. and its completely random where it decides to start itching. Any ideas? this is really bothering me. i almost can't sleep at night. I can tell you for sure its not hives. i've had hives and its nothing like this. before i could scratch an itch and be fine, now when i do it i get huge welts followed by a rash that feels like sandpaper and looks like a poison ivy rash, (its not any of those though, i live in arizona, its not natural here, and im also severly allergic to poison ivy. so i have no idea...sorry for rambling

  1. Doesn't sound like any poisonous plant reaction. But rather an allergic reaction to a soap or a lotion perhaps. Go to the store and buy a cream/gel called Cortade 10, this will be in the medical isle with allergy medicines. This cream will stop itching and heal any rash that you may have. I too had similar reactions to multiple things such as, poison sumac, zinc oxide allergic reaction and facial cream reactions. This stuff works wonders and you will feel relief almost instantly. Apply to the infected areas and just follow use instructions. You will feel so much better trust me

  2. have you changed your detergent, body lotion, soap, shampoo lately? have you changed anything around your house lately? i mean anything??? do you use air fresheners, fabreeze, scented laundry soap, candles and fabric softeners? if you do then stop. all these things have a different fragrance. they also have chemicals that you might be allergic to. just a thought. go to a laundry mat and wash your clothes and bedding. wash it twice. use the big machine it washes twice and rinses. put detergent in once. no fabric softeners at all. try that see if it might work. i can't think of anything else. good luck.
