  1. Practice popping on flat surfaces.  Practice at home and on flat ground on the snow.  Learning how to pop is essential in jumping.

Once you are in the air make sure you do not extend your body.  A lot of people get super stiff mid air and their landings become messed up.  Make sure you stay centered on your board and your knees are bent in order to absorb the landing.

Mid air you can also try a grab.  The most simple would be a mute grab.  Just use your back hand to grab between your bindings.  This will help you stay more compact in your jump and it’s a small step above a standard straight air.

Watch people on the hill.  Ask anyone who looks like they know what their doing to give you some on hill pointers. People are always willing to give advice, so ask!

  2. well u could take a burton freestyle course

at first, just try simple spins. like, nothing complex just turn ur body while ur getting air. and when u get used to that, like, moving while in air u can start doing flips and grabs.

like u kno how to freestyle rite? and u just do that in the air. basically. like yeah kinda hard to explain it has to come naturally and if u don't feel comfortable doing it it means you're not ready to do tricks while getting air yet.

but i mean isn't four years a bit long, i mean shouldn't you have started doing tricks b4?

lol but maybe u guys over in america are slower at getting trick experience. lol dunno. like u spend too much time worrying about safety and board sizes and jackets and getting humiliated while on the slopes and looking cool and how to do tricks and here everyone's just like haha wtf i don't give a **** i'm just gonna do whatever the h**l i want.

oh yeah and i live in switzerland.
