Any solid information on the Jasper Chipset?

Is there any definite proof that this will be released by september and will decrease the chance of the 3 red lights to zero, or is this a load of speculation. Have microsoft actually announced anything? I ask only because i want to buy an xbox 360 but i dont want to waste £200 when I could get a more reliable model in a months time.

It will be released in September, but will not make chances off getting the ring of death zero. That is blatant fanboyism. It will make it less likely to happen, but not eliminate the problem.

ok, you have two options here.

1, you can wait for the jasper chipset, and what it does it reduces the amout of heat so the 3 red lights will rarley occur.

or

2, dont worry about it, and go buy a 360 now. because if you get the 3 red lights, they will fix your 360 for FREE, and have it back to you in like a week. so no problems. Sorry man, you are basically just wasting time with your new 360.
