Any sporty looking cars that has good mpg under 30k?

Question

i am currently looking at the 2009 lancer gts..but it has only about 20 some mpg.

i heard the 07 accord was high on mpg, but it's not really my type of car..

any other suggestions?

i need a good gas saver...especially with almost-$5 per gallon prices these days.

with a nissan altima coupe got 23mpg city & 31hwy and with a nissan sentra sport 24city a 32hwy

How about the Pontiac Vibe ?  it's gas mileage  (I get 38 mpg highway ) is second only to the hybrids; Toyota Prius and Honda Civic

You can get a real nice Miata (one with a lot of options) for that price.

Before you buy go to Yahoo Autos and use the cost comparison. My Dad was shocked when it proved that a Miata was a more cost effective car to buy then a Outback.

Defintiely the Vibe - like the other answerer, I also get up to 38mpg highway on mine (5 speed manual).   The Toyota Matrix is essentially the same car (both built from Toyota components on the Corolla platform), but in my opinion, the Vibe is much more sporty.
