texan kitty - it's good that you know not to give your info out on the internet; that can be really dangerous for kids.  However, sometimes adults just like to find people in similar situations to chat with - we don't give out our personal details, but "penpal" about things in our lives that are similar.  I understand that this is probably a strong rule in your house, but you really might want to be more respectful to adults in the future.  If my son wrote an answer like that to an adult, he'd hear it from me.

There are lots of at-home parents to hang out with on this board, many have great things to say.  I stay at home (and homeschool) my 10yo son.  Welcome!

Sure, e-mail me.  I homeschool my 6 year old girl, my 8 year son, and my 14 year old daughter, so sometimes I am busy, but still more than willing to exchange e-mails.

Also, there are lots of yahoo groups on homeschooling, where you can exchange e-mails with lots of people.

I'm not a stay at home mom but would love to be friends. I have a 6 month old boy at home. My hubby is with him when I work. He's getting older and so interesting. I spend all the time after work with him.

I am a kinda stay at home mom.  My husband and I have our own business so we are pretty much together 24/7.  My son is attending k at a public school now but I will be homeschooling him next year.  I have to admit I am kinda scared, but I guess it will all work out for the best.

I have been a fulltime homemaker for the past 25 years as I have been raising children (almost grown! My youngest will be 16 this month!) , and now I am watching three grandkids while their mom works (she is single and must work). They are a 2 year old boy and one year old twins (girl and boy). I have other grandkids whom I oocassionally watch, too.
