  1. Music is good. Anything that hatches your baby's attention.

  2. At this age her basic need are all she really needs besides x's & o's

of course. Remember that she can only see 8-12 inches from her face

right now (so hold her close when playing)

They love to examine faces and look in your eyes, I prop my little one

up on a pillow (her face close to mine , I talk , read and make silly

faces at her ..I have got a few smiles out of her that way. Also, lay

her on a boppy for tummy time, introduce toys (one at a time, so not

    to over stimulate)

Toys that make sound, have textures you can rub

on her hands or body (she is still too young to reach for them on her

own. (I have this little bug that light up and makes silly sounds, my

daughter will often pick her head up (wobbly of course) and try to follow

    the sound or light)

Tummy is good practice for her neck muscles and

upper body strength, she might enjoy a mirror that she can examine

her own face in (look in with her at make silly faces in her reflection)

Her needs are pretty simple right now! Good luck!

  3. Yes, anything bright colors, red or blue. Also faces, they love looking at faces. But don't over do it, they tire easily. But really, they are so new to everything that life is all a stimulant to them.

  4. lol- just looking at thing maybe lil flashing lights, dont over stimulate at a month old usually still sleep alot just talk to her and wiggle her fiingers and toes for stimulation.... enjoy her..... keep her life simple for a month or two....

Nice one BETTY lol babies dont usually see color for a while after birth, lol most likely 1month old still cant see color, lol, lol

  5. read to your baby! Although the baby is only one month old, this will help to stimulate their brain and give them something to look at.

  6. the problem is they sleep so much at one month the little time they are awake they are eating and being changed! At this age just looking at the world is stimulating for them and their world does not go far beyond them as they still don't have our eyesight. Singing eyes ears nose and toes touching each part and that kind of thing that has sound movement touch and feeling their own body. Just singing in general is good I think

  7. My husband has a book that suggests loosely tying a mylar (safer than latex) balloon to the baby's ankle. Babies kick when they like something, so they see the balloon and kick, which makes the balloon bounce, so they kick some more, and it just keeps going. Anyway, our book recommended it. Obviously, you have to take the balloon off after you are done and supervise the baby the whole time.
