  1. 4:03 PR, I would find that sitting back and letting the other guys take the lead and push the pace would give me the edge.  Stay close enough that you can sprint and be on the leaders heals at any moment, its tough to gage but possible.  With 300 m to go start pressing but not giving it everything.  with 150 to go you should be coming out of the final curve with guns a blazing, dont look back because its a sign of weakness and you see that guy look back at you, thats all he is got so go get him.....  I found that after my workouts if I do 3 to 5 X 100m  sprints with 100m jog between that it helps me with my sprint at the finish.  Hee Hee, there isnt anything better than seeing the expression on someones face as your passing them and they have nothing left to respond with.  GOTHCA....  Good Luck and Happy Runnning

  2. Practice:

    if you have time.

    Before the run:

Stretch thoroughly it really improves your running ability.

    Running:

When you're tired don't stop. Do a slow jog or a fast walk (I skip lol).

    Motivation:

Let's face it everyone gets jealous. Think of someone who's faster than you and motivate yourself by saying things like "I can beat him!"

    Be Positive:

Lie to yourself to keep you running by saying like "You can do this. Only 500 to go"

    Sprint:

Sprint at the last moment. You know it's gonna be the end so run like the wind! Because you wont need to use your energy anymore. Sprint at the last 100-200m, depending how fit you are.

    Pace:

Since it's only 1.5k you should pace yourself. Be fast 1.5k will be over sooner than you think!

Lastly, on the day get good sleep. Eat a good breakfast. Good luck.

  3. Yes.....come in first!!!!!!!
