  1. It all depends on where you live.  The cheapest is to leave a port closest to your home if it is possible.  Flying toward Mexico is highest right now (eastern cruises).  Most major Airports are usually an hour away from the departure port. Cruises in the Bahamas are cheapest but the flight is high.  Any cruise in the caribbean is great.  The southern is my favorite but high.  Grand Cayman, Jamica, Belize, Barbados,  and Dominica  are nice (western cruises).  I have never been to the Bahamas. Go online www.carnival.com and you can chose how many days, what month and which port they are avaible.  It is a very helpful site.  Booking ahead is best for cheaper rates  and longer to pay. Try to get a cabin in the middle of the ship. The bottom is the cheapest and we've stayed there and up top.  You won't spend much time in your room so if you don't mind not having a window go for the cheapest room and use the money you save for excursions or whatever.

  2. well it all depends on where you want to go on your cruise.

i can't help you out with that without a little more information.

    for staterooms, i'd pick midship.

there's usually anywhere between 10-12 decks on the ship so you want to be around 7. the most motion is in the very back of the ship and in the very front. the lower decks aren't very convient because they are far. also be careful about what deck you are under. i stayed on deck 8 on the miracle which was right under the lido deck and you could hear people pushing in their chairs. hope this helped.

  3. Unless you really enjoy putting up with other peoples uncontrolled children, I would avoid Carnival at all costs. Of all the cruises I have taken I rank Carnival at the bottom.

  4. I'd suggest watching this funny video I came across about cruising in Europe - it got me really excited to go on mine!
