Question

I am 18 years old and going to community college and want to be a nurse. In a community college it is very hard and competitive. I have heard about Touro college. They have Nursing Associates Degree there. I also heard it is a very easy college. I am also thinking about going to Adelphi University for Bachelors of Nursing. Did you hear about any of the colleges? Is these colleges are good or which one is good? Touro college or Adelphi University? My friend goes to Touro for accounting and I always see him having a free life. He rarely study, working freely, always going out with his friends, and have a 3.8 GPA. And I have to always study and work hard to get at least 3.0 GPA. Thank You.

If it is not challenging, and it does not take some work and commitment, then it is not worth the paper it is printed out on. Do you really want to learn, or just get a photo copy of a diploma with your name on it?  Getting into a job is only the first part, showing you actually have the knowledge, and a broad based knowledge at that is what keeps the job and makes you promotable.  Community college is hard and competitive, heck wait till you get to the real world and see what it is really like. Now is the time to set the standards you will live your life with. Take the easy way out? Or study work hard and become a success? Choice is yours but really think about the long term aspects of your choices. Lets face it lazy at school lazy at work. Who is going to get ahead.
