My son will be 3 in April. He is advance in that he know his colors, shapes and can count to 10. He knows most of his alphabet. He loves when I read to him and he is always asking questions. I want to keep his mind busy because he seems to want to learn more. When we are practicing his ABC's and he says "I am done" I back off and wait until he is ready so I am not pushing him.

  1. ...just "enjoy" him right now...  like you said... he's a "pre schooler"...relax...  teach him by example and please, don't talk "baby talk" to him... pronounce ALL your words with him correctly...  he'll learn and do fine...

  2. Look into Montessori preschool books. They'll give you some sound advice.

  3. Just keep having fun with him. He's only 3 this is the age to play and discover. Pushing him really hard academically could have negative effects later in life. I mean certainly encourage him to do well but don't over do it but don't be on his back 24/7. Sounds like you're doing fine.

  4. Is this a christian thing?

If so, you need no advice. Obviously.
