Just got married, have a second home to sell. I know it is not popular with Real Estate Agents, but would like to give FSBO a shot. Thanks in advance!

  1. I too will look for this.  At the Spring Parade of Home (west side of the state) an agent told me she would do it for a nominal fee.  I would tale to an agent and ask them-- they are all very hungry.....

  2. Do a search online for flat fee mls, you will get tons, and tons and tons.

  3. Huh?,

Congratulations on getting married. I suggest doing some research and contacting a financial planner before deciding to sell your home. Depending upon your mortgage, you may be able to place the home in service as a rental. This may/may not have tax consequences if you've been in your home less than 2 years. Please contact a tax professional or look up "Sale of Home" on http://irs.gov

There are many business models available for consumers to use in selling their home. I do suggest reading the new Agency Responsibilities Act (ARA) that became law July 1, 2008

This details the three services real estate companies can waive when providing services in Michigan. I'm not sure how this will effect some companies. I do know that many companies have gone out of business during the past year with the mortgage crisis.
