Question:

Any suggestions for a camp site in the Rhone valley please?

I've just spent hours on the 'net researching this and fried my brain....

We're after a quiet site that takes tents, with luxury facilities and flat pitches for my wife who likes camping but doesn't like to rough it. Swimming pool essential, baby friendly for preference, near interesting things to see and do, and ideally near very quiet roads for a bit of gentle cycling.

Does this sound like your favourite site, and if so could we please benefit from your experience?

Thanks in anticipation.

  1. The Rhone valley is a bit vague. First choose a region (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon or Rhône-Alpes) then a département and click on it: http://www.camping.fr/LinkSearch/geograp...

For good weather I would suggest the southern part of the Rhône: Vaucluse (84), Gard (30), Bouches-du Rhône (13)... All your criteria will be met at several of the campsites listed. You can also go to the local tourist office websites, they list all accomodations available.
