Any suggestions for a company picnic? San Jose, CA?

I need to plan a company picnic in San Jose, CA or surrounding area. Any ideas? Also, the area must be shady.

An absolutely great place to have a company picnic is Treasure Island (the island halfway across the Bay Bridge).  It's a bit far from San Jose, but absolutely worth it.  Your employees will remember this picnic!

I'm not sure exactly what your budget is, but I have been to company picnics at Raging Waters, Great America, and also Coyote Ranch in South San Jose.

All of the areas are shaded, obviously the first two would be a good thing to get the kids involved in...but the food at raging waters is terrible so I'm sure you would want to arrange your own thing there.

However if you are looking for something more unique I would check out the Coyote ranch website. They have some awesome barbecue they can cater and it's just a great area in general, plenty of shade all outdoors...kind of like a quick getaway from "city life"
