Any suggestions for a nice pub/bar for a first date in the Leicester Square/Oxford Street area of London?

I have a date tomorrow night and need to find a decent pub or bar which isn't a chain (so not All Bar One etc.), quite quiet, no loud music, but modern. A cocktail bar type thing. Any suggestions would be fabulous!

I would have suggested Waxy O'Connors as it has lots of different areas so can be quite private.  Not really ultra modern but its nice and relaxed.  There are loads of little bars around there.  Why don't you meet him at the station and discover one together.  The weather is meant to be nice so nice for a wander round first.

I really like Point 101.  Its right under Centre Point at the Tottenham Court Road end of Oxford Street.  Not sure about the quiet part so much, but it is modern and does the best cocktails I've had in London!
