Question:

Any suggestions for acne treatment?

I'm a high school girl, and I get breakouts on my forehead, my chin, and a few near lips. My breakouts on my chin are mainly blackheads. My forehead has whiteheads and a few blemishes. It's not severe, but I feel like lately my acne has been getting worse and not going away. Does anyone have suggestions for products that I can use? I've currently been washing with a pHisoderm cleanser, a Saint Ives scrub 2x a week, and a Neutrogena moisturizer.

  1. I use Oxy cleansing pads. They work very well.

  2. well idk if u have to be a certain age to take these pills but there are these pills that u could take that would get rid of ur acne and u'll get less in the future but it makes u really mad and cranky so idk if its worth it but u should see a skin doctor about this

  3. If you don't altready wash your face in the morning and at night. Next get a good pimple medication. I use Benza Clin which contains benzoly perioxide. It works fantastically Also try to stay away from junk foods (chocolate.etc..) Drink LOTs of water! Water helps you flush out impurities.

Once I drank onlly water for a week and of course I ate healthy and my skin was the smoothest it has ever been my whole entire life. Be careful with moisturizers because they can cause more oil to build which will lead to pimples. HOpe I could help! : ]

  4. Order Pro ative Now that really helps!

  5. I had HORRIBLE acne. Like it was just terrible. It was everywhere, and I got a new one every hour.

It was about two yars ago.

    I tried everything.

    But then.

I've been using 3in1 Clearasil acne wash.

    TeeTreeOil.

    ZitZapper.

    And Oxy Sesitive Pads.

    My face is like.

    WOAH.

I use the pads around the middle of the day, just to get the dirt out of my face, and use the TTO after that.

I wash my face with the 3in1 at night, and put the zit zapper on.

And same thing in the morning.

    My face really cleared up.

  6. Acne Free is a cheaper alternative (and you can find it in most stores)

  7. clean and clear works well for me.

and i never get acne, im blessed^_^

well im not blessed, but you know

    & it should work

because my acne is hard to get rid of

but clean and clear gets rid of it

    pretty much right away ;D

  8. Acne - Acne Scars and Their Treatment

The unsightly appearance of acne lesions or pimples isn't the only potential problem with the disease, unfortunately. In some cases, it's possible for acne to leave permanent scars.

Some conditions may appear to be scars that are not. Macules and other bumps can occur even after acne is treated. Redness may persist for up to a year. But these aren't true scars. They're not permanent.

True scars are a permanent change to skin tissue produced by the healing process itself, chiefly creating fibrous tissue. As white blood cells attack bacteria they can produce changes in underlying skin cells in the surrounding area. This is one way scars become permanent.

They may also not be limited to areas under the surface.

So-called icepick scars are small pinholes that form in the surface of the skin. They look as if the skin has been poked with an icepick, hence the name. They're typically too deep to be treated with simple dermabrasion or even laser resurfacing.

Boxcar scars are similar, except they tend to be flatter on the bottom, rather than narrowing to a point like icepick scars. Since they're often shallower they can sometimes be treated with resurfacing techniques.

Keloid scars are firm and grow beyond the site of the injury. They're characterized by an excess production of collagen. They often result in a shiny pink or red scar.

Prevention is the best option, of course. But when that's not possible, there are a number of standard treatments.

  9. Dip a cotton ball in egg whites and apply on clean face, wait a few hours and wash. More such solutions at  http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

  10. Whatever you do don't get proactive. It doesn't work on most people.

Neutrogena oil-free acne wash. That probably works the best. Just use it at night. If you use it 2x a day then it drys out your face. I saw results in the first few days.

  11. Proactive

  12. i just took my 16yr old son to the doctors. The doctor gave him a bacterial antibiotic. It is doing wonders.
