  1. I went to Sheringham in Norfolk last year and was an excellent holiday. Not too crowded, massive beach and plenty of countryside for walking.

  2. The Lake District, The Peak District, The North Yorkshire Moors, The Yorkshire Dales are areas in Norhern England with amazing scenery

  3. Have a look at what users of the Enjoy England website have said about their 'Best places to escape from it all' for some inspiration -

    Have a great holiday.

  4. The Lakes....check out;

    www.bayhouselakeview.co.uk

    This is right overlooking Lake Windermere, but is within easy walking distance of Bowness On windermere, with all its shops, bars and restaurants...and is a great base to set off for walking etc.

    Or

    www.watersidepark.co.uk

    This is a small but friendly caravan park, sitting between Paignton and Brixham, overlooking Torbay, towards Torquay....with loads of good beaches nearby, and plenty of coastal walks to take in too. The Little steam railway runs through the park, and trabvels from Paignton through to Dartmouth

  5. Yorkshire, Pennines, London, Wales, Scotland, Ireland,

  6. North Wales is stunning.  So is Cornwall.  Why not just get in the car and drive - see where you end up - hubby and I used to do this all the time before we had children - it was great fun!

  7. I've heard Tenby in South Wales has a gorgeous beach and great scenery.

    Also Devon has some great cheap holidays so google them and check them out, I'm sure you'll find somewhere suitable to take your fiance. Have a nice holiday!

  8. Oh, I thought you meant a new holiday, such as Christmas. I was going to suggest National Incorrect Spelling Day, but that would just be jerky of me. ;)

  9. I look after a gorgeous little cottage in Cornwall. It's in a pretty fishing village, and is brilliant for walking, relaxing, or visiting nearby attractions, and is also romantic. It's in a village that's pretty, but not over-run with tourists, as people tend to go for the more polular village of Polperro, close by.  we have great reviews from everyone who stays here. Good luck!

    As for the "smart" comment made by krs-1................... If you had an ounce of common sense, you would realise you were answering in the U.K. travel section, and when we have a "holiday" you have a "vacation" If you don't like the way we do things in the U.K. might we suggest you stay in your own sections???? Nobody likes a smart ar$se!!!!
