  1. sliabh liag, the highest cliffs in europe, near carrick bout an hour from donegal town.

  2. Donegal county or Donegal Town? I spent some time there last year. It's very pretty - it has lakes, ocean, islands and mountains and plenty to see and do. Also there is all kinds of accomodation. I stayed in a guesthouse in one of the little villages - really reasonable accomodation. Oh, and there are places to learn to surf - this is one of the few spots on the West of Ireland with waves.

  3. go to the grianan of aileach, there are fadas but cant do them, its a fort on a hill and the views are amazing, you're supposed to be able to see five counties

  4. Out to Port Salon, one of the loveliest beaches in Europe, at the north corner of Inishowen, Glenveigh National Park with its castle and lake, Ard Forrest Park where forest meets seashore,

visit the Giant's Causeway, or the Ulster-American folkpark near Newry, both in Northern Ireland, visit the workhouse in Dun Fanaghy, the town itself is lovely as well, or Glencolmkill with its museum-village and the old pilgrim's way.

  5. I have a contact on YA who lives in Donegal. Her user name is IrishgirlDonegalgirl.

I have e-mailed her about your question. I am answering this so that she can find your question in my answers.

Edit - sorry, she doesn't seem to want to bother answering your question.
