Question:

Any suggestions for foods good for nervous stomach?

I had a major anxiety and panic attack 2 weeks ago and have been unable to get my stomach back under control. I feel anxious, nauseous, hungry, butterflies, etc. I know that I have a nervous stomach because my anxiety is based around my phobia of vomiting. I have started taking meds again, but until they kick in, I've already lost 5 pounds. (I am 18 female and normally weigh 105)

To keep me from fainting I have been eating a little popcorn, bananas, plain pasta, bread, peanut butter, and saltines. Are these good foods for a stomach full of acid and butterflies? Are there other kinds of easy foods on the stomach that will give me a lot of calories? (I need to keep myself from getting anorexic again.)

  1. Boiled chicken, rice, bananas, and cottage cheese.  Also try some of those protein drinks.  Keep your diet bland until your stomach settles down.  Eat in small portions.
