Any suggestions for good pubs and dinner in Cork?

I'm going to be staying outside of Cork next weekend. We have a car so it doesn't have to be right in cork but somewhere around there.

Cork is a GREAT place to eat.  It's probably the gastronomical center of Ireland.  CHeck out http://www.eatsleepgo.com/Ireland.html for all the most highly-reviewed restaurants/hotels in all of Ireland.  But most of the highest ratings are for restaurants in County COrk.

Tides Restaurant in Youghal is excellent for a sunday lunch or evening meal with a very wide variety of dishes all well presented. Also theres a Thai Restaurant at the top of Patrick St near Waterstones bookshop.
