Any suggestions for me? chess game?

I'm a really good chess player. Everyone in my family knows how to play and they have never beaten me out of the dozens of times we play. My stratedgy:

Move Both Knights up and in on first 2 turns, then I move my queen's pawn forward 2 spaces to allow Queen mobility.

When playing I do have the ability to predict my opponets movements. I formulate plans from the very beginning. I end the game by getting my queen on the opponets back wall and taking out the rook, and knight. I am really good at making traps. I trapped a queen once and she could not move anywhere.

Problem. No one else in my family plays chess

no chess club at school - a friend suggested it but it didn't go through

Can't find any tournaments around me...

I am really good at stratedgy games and chess. I have been playing for 2-3 years. i'm 14 male... On my computer I checkmate the computer on Intermidiate ( i won expert once - and probably never will again).

My friends are good but I seem to always win... people ask my how i'm good, i say that i just plan and think 3-4 moves ahead..

But I really want a better challenge.

any idea on where I could get a better challenge?

  1. There are Chessmaster games which you can buy for the pc, xbox and ps2(I have a ps2 one which was very helpful for improving).  Look I'm 18 now and kinda rusty in chess but from 13-17 I played alot and just about no one could beat me. I was the best chess player in my high school chess club, best player in my towns chess club, and joined the marshall chess club. Fact of the matter is I was good but I was beatable, though I wasn't use to the style in marshall(which brought on anxiety and a lack of focus) I got my *** handed to me, and even at my prime with no pressure and my playstyle there were people who at my peak were above me. Also not being able to beat expert means you really aren't that good, on most chess programs online I'm at least on par with the highest settings.

  2. what you didnt think about googleing places where to play near you or have you even tried yahoos chess? they have all various chess players on yahoo and similar websites

  3. like lots of other players said join USCF. Here is a very good webiste were you can register with a fee and play online "www.chessclub.com"

"I end the game by getting my queen on the opponets back wall and taking out the rook, and knight." that sound like what will happen in beginner's game.
