I've been playing for just over 4 years, i'm 17 now. I have yet to get new clubs =[

I'm a decent golfer, not spectacular. What would you suggest for a new set? Most i will pay is $300.

  1. Question is this... Would you spend that same 300 on clone clubs?

If so, check out below website.

If not, then shop around at Walmart or such, or maybe you know someone in the Military that could get you some prices for full sets at the Exchange. Most of these Military exchanges carry Wilson, Nike, Dunlop and Pro-Staff clubs for under 300.

  2. I suggest you browse through the irons that Rock Bottom Golf [ http://rockbottomgolf.com ] has. Almost all their irons are $300 or less, and they have a good selection of name brands. Here are a few sets that are a good value and have a good reputation:

    Adams GT 500 irons - [ http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/adams-golf... ] - $129.99

    Nickent 3DX hybrid irons - [ http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/nickent-go... ] - $199.99

    Wilson Di7 irons - [ http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/wilson-gol... ] - $299.99

There are a ton more, plus you can take 10% off with coupon code Slick10Off during checkout.

    Best of luck!

  3. well $300 wont get u a big brand set like callaway or nike. but it will still get u a good set. i started out with touring edge ones a LONG time ago. and they were really good. i dont really like the hybrid sets because they dont let u get creative. like if u need to hit a draw or fade they arent the best club.

oh and most golf shops have simulation screens so u can test clubs to see which shaft and stuff is better for u.

what i would recommend is either

    Zevo ZVI Iron Set 3-PW

Snake Eyes Viper M Iron Set

MacGregor MACTEC NVG2 Iron Set 3-PW

i think lynx is good too. but their sets start at 350ish

    GOOD LUCK

  4. im 13 and my set is around $1000 if you want decent clubs thats probably the least amount you can spend. unless you buy used

  5. I am a firm believer that if you take your $300 and invest it in a good used set, you will be able to gain quality, rather than buy new, in a set that is ment to be sold to entry level golfer.
