  10. Well I mean it is ok it just reminds me of a boy name like Mike but at my school there are 1 Mika that is a girl just change the spelling it is to boyish

  11. ashton ranay

  12. Mika sounds like Micah, a boy's name, which I don't like either. Micah is a Hebrew name and is in the Bible.

Sounds like Mike, short for Michael, which means "Who is like God?" in Hebrew.

Avoid being too cute, it's no fun going through life being asked how to spell one's name or being asked "what?"

  13. That's my sister's name.  However, her's is spelled Maaike, it's the Dutch spelling (my great grandmother's name)  I love that name and would name my daughter Maaike if it wasn't my sisters name.

Also, some people put an accent over the e, her's technically has it, but she never uses it.

  14. Mika is very unique and strong. I love it!

    Other suggestions:

    Lola

    Lainey

    Amaya

    Remi

  15. when i hear Mika...i picture the singer.

i have a friend named Siobhan (it's pretty cool, but sometimes people pronounce it wrong...like "sigh-oh-ban or something like that, but it's not a problem because she jokes about it)

    googling helps. :)

    hope i helped.

  16. When I see or say the name Mika, I don't think of a girl. To me it sounds better for a boy. Mika is a variation of Micah and is my sons name. It is in honor of my father Michael. Everyone always just called my dad Mike. And I didn't like the name Michael. We liked Micah but not the biblical spelling. Plus the -cah looked feminine to us. It looked like Michaela too much. Well starting off as looking like Michaela. We went with Mika since he can go with nicknames like Mike or Mikey. I later realized that the spelling of Mika is a Japanese girls name but pronounced mee-kah. Mee-kah sounds like a cat name to me. Ha, ha. The name Mika is also a Native American girls name meaning intelligent raccoon. LOL I laughed. Which was surprising because Mika's dad is Native America. The only other spellings I can think of are Micah or Myka.

  17. I'm not a guy, but I love that name. Its pretty when I hear it i think of someone smart and pretty. Other Spellings maybe Myka? Only problem is it might be a little to childish. Like when the baby is a teen it might sound kinda weird. I like the name. Hope I helped. : )

  18. Mika (means racoon, Native American)

Mikah (means who is like god, American)

Mikaia (means, Who is like God, American)---> I Prefer this spelling.

Mikayla (means who is like god, American)

Micaella (means who is like god, American)
