I am planning my trip to Toronto on August. I'll be just staying overnight to watch Maroon5 concert. Any help on finding a safest way to go back to the hotel after the concert? It will probably be late and I am just travelling alone. Thanks in advance ;)

  1. I think they're playing the molson ampitheatre-right?

Your best bet would be to take the streetcar as it's cheap and safe but it will be packed after the concert.

Depending on how far uptown you have to go, a taxi is a good option.

Have fun and don't worry--Toronto is safe and friendly.

  2. Assuming that this will occur near downtown, a taxi should be easily accessible. There should be enough people around to feel secure.

  3. After leaving a concert there will be a lot of people walking around so you should just go with the flow until you can flag down a cab which should be pretty easy. For the average citizen minding there own business, downtown is very safe. Just stick to the main roads and flag down a cab, my best advice. I find it funny when people are so intimidated by the big city. I moved downtown 5 years ago and have never been in a unsafe situation once, nor even heard a gunshot. Hope you have fun in TO and dont stress out about being safe cause we are one of the safest large cities in North America. Have a good show!

  4. Definitely stick with getting a cab.  Easy to find, and you won't have to worry about directions.  They're everywhere, you won't have a hard time getting one.

Have fun at the show! ~ I love Maroon 5.

  5. Well, a taxi would be the safest way to go.....

Downtown is pretty quiet most of the time....

Transit will be packed and lots of people drive to the games...   Depending on where you are staying a taxi might be the cheapest way.... You can just flag one down on the street, you don't have to call as taxis just drive around looking for customers...

Transit is safe most of the time.... We do have our moments, though...

Be aware on the subway platforms, really weird people are there .....     Especially when the trains aprouch.... People get pushed infront of the trains... (One happened today @ my stop!) First time in 5 yrs... Who would have thought....
