Preferably ones that can cco-exist with others of the same species. I know about basic care etc. since the shop I work in sells reptiles but any care info on your suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :)

  1. ball python would be the easiest

just make sure it has fresh water, its cage gets cleaned out every few weeks, and feed it ever 1-2 weeks.

they are the most docile snakes you can get.

one pointer, make sure you hold any snake you are thinking of getting before purchasing it to make sure it acts the way you were hoping!

FYI: anyone who suggested corn snakes i would say no to that. Once they get older they are a lot more docile, but you have to constantly handle them to make them that way and they are very aggressive when they are younger!

  2. Milk snakes and Corn snakes. My friend has some and they rock.

  3. what about a cornsnake my friend has 1  there easy to take care of

  4. Before purchasing our ball python I did very extensive research into many different breeds of snakes. I found that the ball pythons are the best option for a first time owners. They do well with other ball pythons and even Columbian red tails. Ball pythons are also less aggressive and less likely to ever bite or harm someone. I found out that other types of snakes like the Columbian red tails are more likely to become aggressive than ball pythons. I do know people with corn snakes and a california king snake and those snakes have never become aggressive but the chance is still there. I make sure we handle our snake every day and when we feed her we feed her in a box instead of her tank so that she doesn't associate our hand going in the tank with her being fed. I think with any snake if you love them and handle them enough, they won't be aggressive. Hope this helps, good luck.

  5. As the 1st person said, Corn snakes...also Rat snakes.  Ball Pythons are good, when you can find one that eats.  Some of my favorite snakes are the King and Milk Snakes (I have a Blair's King and an Albino Ruthvens King), but DO NOT EVER put them with other snakes. the Kings and Milks eat other snakes. I assume you're just asking about the mixing for the store.  It's not adviseable to mix at all.  They're best kept alone, unless you're a breeder and know what you're doing.

  6. corn snakes and ball pythons are the best beginner snakes.  How ever you should never mix snake species and by that I mean you cant keep two different types in the same cage.  It's not good for them.  check out www.reptilechannel.com they have a lot of good info on most species of reptiles.

  7. a ball python is personal, and affordable, and gets along well with other ball pythons, in a proper environment
