  2. The only one that I know of in Drake Bay is Aguila de Osa

Are you set on Drake Bay or are you looking to Visit the beautiful Osa Peninsula? I recommend going into Golfo Dulce which is the Gulf within the Peninsula. Playa Nicuesa Rainforest lodge is a once in a lifetime experience. You can only reach the lodge by boat and they have solar power, a natural water supply from a spring up the mountain, and the property boarders one of the National Parks. They have hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, yoga, and other tours.

Also, Crocodile Bay Lodge is amazing for sportfishing and fun boating adventures.

Here is some info on Corcovado National Park to give you a good idea of what the Osa Peninsula is all about.

  4. Hi ! I travelled 3 months through CR and am in Panama now. Im heading back to CR in march. I dont know if you're looking for budgetoptions ?

In Drake Bay you have a couple of expensive (well not really expensive) hotels. The 1st one in the Bay is Jinetes the Osa. I dove with them to Isla del Cano and I thought the hotel looked really nice, and te owner is nice too. I think they ask $60 per peron for the room. Further from there spread out along the coast line are more expensive ones, amongst them Paloma Lodge and Aguila de Osa.

Up the hill ( its not called Drake , buts in the bay) are the more cheaper ones. The road that takes you up the hill from the beach is an expensive one; the next one on your right ( 10 minute walk) belongs to the 1st one but there you pay for a private or bunkbed $ 7 a night. I stayed there because I was on a budget. Further up the hill is Manolos. He asks about  $15....so...if you want more information about diving or other cities.let me know !

  5. I have an aquaintance there, she has a nice place, but her info is on MySpace page, I will try to look for the site for you & post the url for you. Am amidst packing & preparing to go to CR myself Jan 23 thru Feb 6th, that has me a bit busy right now in prep for our trip, forgive me~ I highly suggest you check out the websites  within the area. Do a google search...lots of info...you can also go to www.dominical.biz there you will see many areas just north of Drake Bay, but nicely situated on the main Costenaera highway which is paved all the way along the Pacific coast. We have property in the area called UVITA which is just a brief drive south of Dominical/Dominicalito & about an hours drive north of Drakes Bay. Drakes Bay is truly an adventure! ENJOY!
