  3. I think 1st, you should really find out what people's budget is for ur dinner. If your paying the bill, then it's all good. You gotta remember this is Vegas and nothing is cheap in the casino. If ur group is open to paying some $, most of the resturants inside MB are great. I would just try to find a place with a diverse menu to keep ur guest happy. It's always some idiot in the group that's gonna cry a river if there's nothing to there likeing. Other then that make ur reservation as soon as possible. Big groups are gonna require notice way in advance. Especially at a casino like MB that does a lot of conventions. If your thinking of doing any nightclubs or stripclubs. Hit me up, I know a guy that does that kind of stuff.

  4. Go to the South Point and eat in their Prime Rib room.

Ask for Luis...fantastic service and the food is great and reasonable!

  5. Hi I'm a cabbie here in Vegas and the answer to your question is as follows.

China Grill is too much and a side from trying to upsell you to hard in order to raise the amount of money you would have to tip them, their waiters have a tendency to rush you in order to free up their tables for the next party. And Red Square.  Well it isn't really russian food.  I don't even know what to call it.  Who ever hear of a siberian nacho.

Leave Mandalay Bay and go further down the strip until you reach Bootlegers Bar and Grill.  It's the kind of Italian Restaurant your looking for.

Hope I was able to help.

    Good Luck

    The cabbie.

  6. I would either reccomend Rosemary's Resturant on West Sahara or Kona Grill (Which may be a little noisy).

  7. If you talking about having an afternoon or evening wedding, my suggestion would be for you to not even leave Mandalay Bay.  They have great restaurants right there.  If you don't want anything too expensive, then China Grill would be very nice at around $45 per person.  It's a very nice restaurant with great atmosphere.  You can order family style and share.  Have cocktails (or perhaps champagne, since it's your wedding) in their lounge before.  You will need to make reservations and they are only open for dinner.

    Congrats on your upcoming wedding

  8. At Mandalay Bay (or their shopping area), you have a number of very high end choices such as rm, Stripsteak, Aureole, Fleur de Lys, and Mix.  These may be outside your range.

China Grill is pretty good recommendation and is probably closer to your budget but so is Verandah which has a very good weekend brunch that is more likely to appeal to a cross section of guests from the midwest.  Think of Verandah as a coffee shop type of place that borders on very fine dining.

A restaurant inside Mandalay Bay (or very nearby) makes the most sense since you don't want transportation of a group to be one of your worries.  If your group is 12 or more, you can qualify for a group dining discount.  Here is the link to that page:

If you can get that discount, you might be able to move up a notch as well.  I can only rate the restaurants I've been to and I haven't hit every single restaurant in Mandalay Bay despite the concerted efforts of my legion of relatives to get me to each one.

The ones that I have eaten at and know are at least okay (but not necessarily for the money) are rm, Aureole, Fleur, Mix, Verandah, China Grill, House of Blues (buffet on Sunday), rumjungle, Stripsteak, Border Grill and Burger Bar.  My favorites are rm, Fleur and Mix from that list.

There is a website that has a list of all the restaurants and a rating of each one in or really close to Mandalay Bay.  Once you narrow down your list from the Mandalay Bay, there are some websites that have reviews and comments.
