Any suggestions on getting out the smell of cigarette smoke?

I recently bought two second hand dressers. They both reek of cigarette smoke. Any ideas on how to get the smell out of the wood? I cleaned them with Murphy’s Oil Soap, but I can still smell the smoke. Currently I have baking soda in the drawers but nothing is working.

  1. febreeze may help

  2. get some high quality  cat litter....put it in every drawer. You can do this several ways, if you want to be able to use the drawers, take small squares of fabric, place the cat ln the center, and form into a ball using a rubber band to hold it shut....if the aroma of smoke is really bad, put like 3 of these sachets in each drawer....the smell will go away gradually, until you don't notice it anymore....when the smell of smoke starts being noticable again, change the cat litter in the sachets.

the other way is put an open plastic container of cat litter in each drawer for about 60 days....you won't be able to use the dresser tho while you're doing this.
