  1. She wants the boob!! I breast feed and try to give my 3 month old a pacifier..she wants nothing to do with it..she knows the difference between plastic and the real thing...I've tried everyday and she's not having it!! And don't listen to the person who said put honey on it honey can not be given to a child under a year old it can be dangerous!

  2. Try putting a small amount of honey on your little finger  and see if she will suck on it, if he/she does put some on the bottles nipple.

  3. I'm having the exact same problem with my 2 months old girl. I even bought the soothie brand bottle that has the nipple that is like the pacifier they gave us in the hospital. She won't even take that. It's driving me insane and I'm getting sick of wasting formula. I hope someone gives us a good answer that helps!

  4. I'm having the exact same problem with my almost 4 month old baby. I posted a question just a few seconds ago lol. Hopefully we can get some answers- I hate it when he cries himself to sleep.

If the problem is latching on, you could try the Gerber NUK bottles. The nipple is shaped like the breast, so it's more natural and easier for them to latch on to. You can purchase them at Walmart. I had to go buy some myself when my son couldn't latch onto a regular nipple.

  5. My first daughter just never tood a bottle. She would wait until I picked her up from daycare to eat.

My 4th baby (now 8 weeks old) also wants nothing to do with the bottle. But I did find a bottle made by MAM (same nipple as her pacifier) and she has taken up to 1.5 ounces out of it.

Maybe you can consider trying to work part time.

My oldest daughter just nursed more through the night longer. So she still got what she needed.

I pump my milk so she doesn't have a change in taste.

  6. what you have to do is buy different nipples and test and see which one she likes the best, make sure you use a nipple that resembles your nipple, i had the same problem and i got this one that the hole is on the top not in the middle, so she stil has to eat the same way as in your breast. you have to be patient!! she wont want to for a little bit cause shes used to our warm breast and now she has to suck on rubber!! lol, try to leave for a little bit and let someone else feed her because she knows you have what she wants, make sure also shes not starving when shes trying, a starving baby wont coaporate. the same thing happen to me, and after a week and a half of trying she got it, only do it once a day though. the ones i tried were playtex brand, natural latch, the one that worked for my baby was the orthodontic nipple but try all of the heres the webite so you can look at it.

  7. I know you have tried different bottles, but have you tried different formulas? There are many out there, and the one you may be trying might not be agreeing with her! Enfamil Lipil with Iron, or the gentlease type are really easy on babies stomach. Try switching formulas, and if that doesn't work, then im sure what else to do, and all I can say is talk to the doc. or a specialist! good luck

  8. I had the same problem with my son. It was really tough. I did the same by buying different bottles, nipples, stangers feeding him, my husband tried...when he was tired, not hungry...hungry...EVERYTHING!!

I decided to buy about 6 different formulas and every hour tried a new one. If he didn't take it, I wouldn't breastfeed. It was tough but nessessary. I always thought it was the nipples because he would just bite them and play with them but it was not the case... he did know how to drink from the bottle, he just refused to. Anyhow, he all of a sudden tried the simulac formula and YIPPY he loved it. Its kinda strange but it worked.  Listen, if you try this with no luck then try Adiri bottles, they look more like a breast.

Goodluck with this and I hope you are succesful.

  9. Well try having someone else give her the bottle. I used the playtex low flow nipples that are used with breastfeeding and she got on it right away. I started at a month, so when we're in public I pump bottles. Try different nipples.

  10. i made the mistake of not trying my baby to take the bottle until a month old,... and it was too late.. she never did take one.  shes now 8 months old... and i have never had enough milk to provide for her.  every doctor i took her to said just keep trying to give her different nipples, have someone else give her the bottle, give different formulas...try a cup... nothing worked.  i have just found out that if you need to get fluids into a baby a squirt bottle will work.  sorry if im not much help.. just know that there are many babies who just refuse bottles.
