Any suggestions on how to structure a football themed birthday party and what relevant games they could play?

The party is for my son's 7th Birthday and some ofo his 4 year old brothers friends.

For what ages?  Without knowing that it is hard to give you ideas on games, favors, etc.

The best thing would be to organize a real soccer match for the kids- each team should have an equal no of older and younger kids. Only problem is this might get a bit messy and difficult to cleanup after the kids are back indoors.

Also, you might like to play a customized soccer-themed snapshow made with pictures of your kid growing up (birth/baby/toddler/youngster days), on a tv. Its not very expensive to get it professionally done at http://www.smilingsnaps.com and the results are awesome. I had recently attended a birthday where they played a video like this and the guests were amazed at the unique concept- Not to mention the kid was thrilled to become a 'Hollywood Hero' on his birthday!
