  1. sweep back and through, and make sure you get you weight to your left side if you are RH

  2. One of the best shots I have ever taken in my golfing life was with a three wood out of a fairway bunker on a par 4 hahaha

Hit off the tee with my driver, and of COURSE it went way right haha Dropped straight in a fairway bunker along the right edge.  It must have rained a few days before because the sand in the bunker was matted down. Not like... really hard, and not wet.. but it was a solid surface.

Grabbed the 3 wood out, rocked the h**l out of the ball and made it on the green in two. Birdied the hole. Can't tell you how, because woods are really my weak point.. But the 'ol 3 came through for me!!

  3. make a smooth swing at about 80% of full power and sweep the ball off the ground.  Hitting the ground is ok just do not let the club dig into the ground.  Most people try to hit it too hard, the club is designed to go further than your irons without swinging harder.

  4. Play ball back in middle of stance (farther back than you'd hit a driver) and choke down on grip inch or so, just remember to follow through.

  5. That reminds me of an old joke....

There are two golfers playing around when there is a tremendous thunder storm with lightening everywhere.

One golfer wants to get under the cover but the other just holds up his three wood above his head and continues on the course.

When the first one says "What the h**l are you doing, we need to get under cover"

The second says  "No, I'm safe under this club.. Not even God can hit a three wood properly"

  6. Use it just like your driver, just on the fairways, not in the ruff stuff, that's when you grab your 5 wood!

    Good Luck!!!

  7. Fairway woods are some of the easier golf shots to hit. You just want to scrape the ball from the surface with as small a divot as possible. You are looking for distance and accuracy. The shot should not be forced unless the distance is such that reaching the green is a possibility. Most golfers will play the ball just inside the instep of the lead foot.

  8. Use It Off The Tee Chances Are Youll Be In Play More. Also For Use One Long Shots From The Fairway. Good Luck To Ya.

  9. Don't sweap it unless it is on a tee. In the fairway strike down on it. And dont swing to hard. Just  make solid contact.

  10. Im just guessing but your topping the ball, right? To fix it, when you take your back swing make it slower and before leaving the ground sweep the club 6-inches back before taking up in the air. Dont let this distract you from keeping your eyes on the ball.
