  1. For suggestions on removing bathroom tiles http://1st-floortile.blogspot.com/

    thanks - http://craftmaniac.blogspot.com/

  2. Angry music and a hammer

  3. depends on what job you are doing if you are changing the bath

just hack them off willy nilly with a kango or hammer and bolster.

if you are keeping the bath put something in the bath incase a tile or tiles falls in and causes damage. there is also another thing to

consider, if you are going to re-tile the bathroom its easier to just tile

over the existing ones. size them first with unibond

  4. yes my 5 year old son will have them removed for u in a jiffy like he did to mine lol, any ideas on how they cant be removed lol

  5. once the first one comes out the rest will follow . dont forget to cover your bath as it scratches easily. as the lady said use a hammer but try not to damage the drywall, so maybe a hammer and a screwdriver is your best bet

  6. a hammer and chisel will do the trick. Just smack the **** out of them until they come off the wall.

a masonry chisel that is, not a wood chisel.

  7. why remove them my local council builder just tiled over the excisting tiles.

  8. it depends how long theyve been on. if theyve only been on a short time they might pop off without damaging the plaster behind.

if theyve been on a long time, however, ythe chances are that the grout will take off the top layer of plaster, which is called the skim.

so... the best way to start is from the top, on a corner, that is not an adjoining wall.

take the grout out with a old screwdriver or old chisel.

WEAR GOGGLES COS ITS CERAMIC (GLASS) AND DANGEROUS FOR YOUR EYES IF IT GETS IN!! OH YEAH AND GLOVES.

then if both sides of the tiled wall butt up against an adjoining wall take out the top centre tile, by either breaking or removing the grout. this tile is an easy one to smash but the only one you need to smash really.

the others might break but no need to smash em!!

put chisel or screwdriver about a third the way in and tap with the hammer and just keep on going like that!!

reskimming is usually neccessary after this.

    have fun!!

  9. defo hammer and chisel...  or hammer and wallpaper scraper.  it's fun once you get into it.
