  1. If it doesn't need to be in a packet or tin then you can get adventurous. There isn't a specific "camping food" just cook anything you would normally cook! Camping stoves are pretty efficient as are bbqs - the only reason tins are synonomous with camping is they are easy to carry and quick to cook.

Fry up some fresh seafood and pick some edible wild mushrooms perhaps...

  2. Roasted squirrel or most woodland birds make a welcome alternative (if a little crunchy) , swap that can opener for a good crossbow.

  3. Um well marshmellows on a stick over the fire. Oh and sausages/burgers on the bbq. And chicken wings.

  4. We have the same tools as you when we camp. We make tacos. Brown meat and you're done. Let everyone build their own taco. With the leftover tortillas, you can make a great breakfast burritio in the morning. Cook sausage links or turkey bacon (less grease than pork bacon and still about the same flavor), then, in the same pan, scramble eggs and let everyone build their own breakfast burritio. You can use the same cheese, onions, peppers, hot sauce from the night before if you keep them in your cooler overnight! Quick, Easy and Filling!

  5. pot noodles, sausages & bacon, cooked chicken

  6. Well the most traditional thing would be some meaty burgers! Just bring some patties and all of the lovely ingredients to go with a great burger. You can start off with the simple things for an example, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Then you can start getting into more tasty things like mushrooms, and bacon. I hope you enjoy!

  7. brown some mince, add a stock cube (oxo) and some curry powder, also tin of beans, serve with rice or potatoes.

    Tasty and filling.

  8. Sausage, Turkey chunks grilled and then you make fajitas, Zattarans Red Beans and Rice with sliced cheese on top,

  9. My campsite always has the best food because we eat real food instead of s'mores and hot dogs. Bookmark these and read them at your leisure-

  10.   smell the bacon!!!!!              bacon butties yum.

  11. Make HOBOS.

Add one hamburger patty, sliced potatoes, sliced carrots, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic to a sheet of aluminum foil. Seal foil so that all is completely enclosed, then cook on the fire until meat and potatoes are done.....20 to 30 minutes.

We used to make these everytime we went camping or had campfires with the girl scout troop.

  12. Bulgar or couscous, cooks really fast and you can mix it with an onion and whatever else is available. Yummy.

  13. -rice is exciting to make :)

    -soup

    -pancakes

    -fried pasta

-miso soup for breakfast. u just need miso paste, nori, spinach, and boiled water

    -hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled squash

-take some frozen French fries, chili and cheese sauce; combine them in foil, wrapping it tightly. Throw the package on the fire and cook until the fries are cooked through and then enjoy your gooey chili cheese fries

-Popcorn popped over an open flame

-of course, no camping trip is complete without making smores. They’re also very easy to make. Start by roasting a marshmallow over your fire. Once your marshmallow is warm and gooey, stick it on top of a graham cracker and a piece of a chocolate bar, and then top with another graham cracker

  14. Ooo crumpets with butter was always a fave of mine when I camped as a kid. Also OXO in a tin mug to drink. Nectar!!!!
