Question:

Any suggestions on what to do about 3 1/2 yr old having accidents?

My daughter has been potty trained for almost a year. When she was trained she hardly ever had accidents even at night. For the past week she has had an accident every day and yesterday she had three accidents--one at night. We took her to the doctor and he said it is behavioral (did a test and checked her out). Any suggestions on what to do about this?

Thanks!

  1. She may have lost sensitivity. Or even could have lack of muscle control due to fatigue. Make sure she gets a lot of rest and stays away from high sugar juices. Just water and milk for a few days.

If she hasn't been having regular bowel movements that could also put pressure on the bladder as well. Lots of really healthy food for a few days. Don't make a big deal about it when she has an accident. Just kind of take care of business and talk to her about the cool things she did and saw that day while you are  cleaning her up.
