I hear it's a great drinking spot...just walk around with your beer right out on the street!

I would recommend:

Las Ramblas - cafes and shops

The beach - sunbathing and people watching

Casa Mila - classic Gaudi architecture

La Seu cathedral - impressive old cathedral

Sagrada Familia - more amazing Gaudi

Barcelona is a colorful city and people there can speak english!! I have been there for 5days, try to catch the best attraction spot.

To make you an idea of the city you can take the Bus turistic which gives you a tour of the city

My BARCELONA's top spot

1) Parc guell: the nice beautiful park uphill which is the work of famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Don't miss the Lizard!!

2) Las Ramblas: The walking street packed with buskers, living statues, mimes and itinerant salespeople combined with many shops and resturants. It's also different in day and night. Check it out!!

3) Gothic quarter: the historic walking area

4) Manument a colon (Columbus) in the bay area

5) Cathedral de la Seu:Spectacular Gothic church located in the heart of the Barri Gothic.

6) Picasso Museum: Of you are a fan of Picasso, don't miss it.

7) Beaches: Barcelona has 6 beaches, just for you. All of their beaches offer drinks and ice cream, children’s games, lifeguards, hammocks, telephones, and sport areas.

I wouldn't recommend you to get inside Sagrada Familia. It's not worth for the entrance fee. It's not finished yet. Better look from outside or postcard. Anyway, this is just my idea. You may like it!
