  1. sorry.  the anesthesia made me sick for days.

try pudding, ice cream, popsicles, smoothies (avoid berries w/seeds), yogurt, ginger ale (especially good for upset stomachs), gatorade, iced tea.

Just be sure to get enough liquids.  You can go without food for weeks, you can only go without liquids for a few days.

  2. I felt sick after I had my molars out. Try sipping 7-up. It'll settle your stomach and up your blood sugar.

  3. I had a tonsillectomy last year and I lived on ice and apple juice.  Eventually i was able to eat chicken soup and really soft pasta.  They all say to eat icecream but icecream always made me sick

  4. I ate ice cream and ramen noodles.  You didn't say what you've tried so I hope that helps!

  5. I had my tonsillectomy done a while back. I know you cannot eat many foods at the beginning. I will tell you exactly what you need. Do not drink any carbonated drinks. Stick to cold water, kool aid,or anything you would like that is non-carbonated and that also does not have acid in it. Only eat cold cold or slightly warm foods. I will list some. Ice cream, popcicles, anything that is cold. On the warm side you can eat soup, noodles, eggs, and other things. Don't eat hard or crusty foods. You can also try yogurts and puddings too. After two weeks you can eat anything you would like and be back to your normal self. If you eat things you aren't supposed to eat when your'e not supposed to be eating them, it could make your throat bleed where the surgery was done and cause it to rupchure. I hope you found this helpfull!!!

  6. icecream and 7-up made it worse for me. you'll be sick the first day or so anyways though. when I had mine out I didn't eat much until my friend insisted on tea. the warmth felt so much better than cold and I worked my way up to brothy soups. hope you feel better!!

  7. I ate anything that was soft and cool.  Ice cream, frozen yogurt, popsicles, smoothies, yogurt, pudding, apple sauce, jello.  I found that the cool helped soothe my throat and I could swollow with out much pain.

    Hope you're feeling better soon!!
