  1. See your doctor for a quick exam and, probably, a prescription for proton pump inhibitors; I think you have gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Alcohol worsens your symptoms because it loosens the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), which normally closes tight after you swallow, stopping stomach acid entering the esophagus (reflux).

If you have GERD, your LES is already functioning poorly and alcohol will only make it worse.

Heartburn is the feeling you get when stomach acid enters the esophagus, and proton pump inhibitors should help to treat your pain and to prevent further damage to the esophagus, allowing it to heal.

Mention the nausea to your doctor when you see him.

You should avoid alcohol, or at least, cut down.

  2. You should eat more fiber in you diet, and also fresh fruits, vegetables and grains, consuming less meat may also help.. nausea is common with acid reflux, this type of heartburn could also be a sign of an ulcer. I suggest if it continues that you should contact your doctor

  3. Could you be pregnant? Or maybe an ulcer. I would seek medical attention.
