  1. people have wind surfed at Presque isle Stare Park in

Erie,  PA and some have tried regular surfing - waves (before a storms) range from 2-6 feet (check at the ranger station to find the beach which surfing is allowed- not ok'd for all beaches - because of the breakwalls)

but on calm days there is more of a ripple than a wave

    no sharks in Lake Erie

  2. o    sharks

  3. No sharks, and no big waves. First of all its not the ocean, and its not salt water. Even though it is possible to the ocean using the erie canal, it is almost impossible for a shark to make it all the way through the locks, and dams. And second of all, no lake erie doesnt have big enough waves to get a nice ride on. After all, it is only a lake. Even though it is huge, its just not big enough.

  4. Erie probably is not big enough to get enough fetch to generate decent waves.  As far as sharks it is theoretically possible since you can get to the ocean through the lock system and bull sharks can live in fresh water but highly improbable.

  5. millions and millions of sharks in lake erie... in fact i see one swimming up my street

  6. No sharks. It's not the ocean.

People surf in Cleveland thru the winter but here in Buffalo, there's no waves

  7. isnt it cold water though

  8. Any sharks in a lake?  You must be one of those stoner surfers. Yea braaa....
